The Arts Center offers a variety of hands-on creative activities, art classes and workshops for Adults. Whther you're a beginner or advanced student, our experienced instructors will be able to guide you to the next step in a comfortable and non-competitive environment. We welcome serious teens age 16+ into our adult classes

Beginning Guitar for Adults - Tico Manley

A great way to try the guitar, no musical experience necessary. Learn to read music, play by ear and music theory. This fun introductory course will get you playing in no time. A limited number of guitars are available for use (during class only) please call ahead to reserve a guitar 864-784-9232.

Bead and Bangles Workshops - Patricia Stalb

Create your own jewelry! You'll be designing unusual beaded earrings, necklaces and bracelets, and you'll learn how to make metal accents and jewelry findings to highlight your pieces. Intro to Simple Jeweler's Hand Tools - Patricia Stalb

Students will learn how to use basic jeweler's hand tools. With these tools, students can texture metal and make many unique pieces of metal jewelry. Several projects will be completed during with no jewelry making experience.

Advanced Life Drawing - Cynthia Jones

This class is for returning students who wish to continue improving their drawing skills. We will draw from life rather than photos. Still life, portraiture, figurative…whatever subject you choose. This class is designed for students who have already had Basic Drawing with Cynthia, or have displayed skills beyond the Basic Drawing Level.

Discover the Fun in Creating - Eileen Powell

Explore the possibilities in clay. Learn handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques used in ceramics. This includes developing skills for both functional and sculptural artwork. This class will also explore the many different surface treatments and glazing techniques. Open to all skill levels.
